On our way to Vianden we passed by here and had a look. Not very spectacular but nice to see. Foundations of a villa from Roman times with parts of a kitchen, bathroom and contours of a living room with a staircase to the cellar. Completely covered and accessible for free.

Doesn't really look like anything.. Theres this augmented reality app that should show the actual building that was suppose to be build but its not working properly. Not worth visiting

Unfortunately, the housing for these ruins has fallen into disrepair, leaving the site looking more like a hoodlum hangout rather than a 1st century villa. What could have been an interesting visit, was ruined when you see the amount of discarded trash about the area and the graffiti taggings along most of the walls. A disappointment for something that could have held more intrigue.

Missed opportunity to keep history alive because of poor maintenance...

Château du Lude

The Château du Lude is one of the many great châteaux of the Loire Valley in France. Le Lude is the most northerly château of the Loire Valley and one of the last important historic castles in France, still inhabited by the same family for the last 260 years. The château is testimony to four centuries of French architecture, as a stronghold transformed into an elegant house during the Renaissance and the 18th century. The monument is located in the valley of Le Loir. Its gardens have evolved throughout the centuries.
