We celebrated our wedding here (L and LD) two weeks ago and it was the most beautiful day of our lives. A beautiful place, highly recommended, the food is exquisite, very good cuisine (the best in Cáceres and Extremadura), the workers are all very friendly and charming and very attentive to the couple (Abel, Cristian and Pablo, three wonderful people, very pleasant and great professionals) and the guests who did not lack anything (Pilar, Abel, Cristian). Very good organization, good attention, kindness and kindness (Paco and Lucy), both charming people. Thank you all for making our wedding day the best day of our lives, which we will always remember. It was beautiful, spectacular, nothing was missing, the family was delighted with the place, with the food, with the workers. If we had to celebrate another event it would certainly be with you again. Thank you for everything from the bottom of my heart. Luis

I give 4 stars because, being privately owned, we have not asked permission to see the inside, we were just passing through. You have to leave the La Plata highway to go to Valdesalor. And so, going along the old N630 you find yourself right next to the road. Access is easy. It is from the 15th and 16th centuries, it is arranged inside for weddings and other celebrations, on the outside it is spectacular. It is worth the small detour, and almost immediately afterward is the other castle, Arguijuelas de Arriba.

It was a very special day in an incredible place. Everything turned out perfect. Thanks to Lucio, Cristian and Paco for their professionalism, treatment and dedication. Our guests were delighted and we were even more so. The food was abundant and delicious. We couldn't have chosen better. Thank you

Visby Cathedral

Visby Cathedral (also known as St. Mary’s Church) is the only survived medieval church in Visby. It was originally built for German merchants and inaugurated in 1225. Around the year 1350 the church was enlarged and converted into a basilica. The two-storey magazine was also added then above the nave as a warehouse for merchants.

Following the Reformation, the church was transformed into a parish church for the town of Visby. All other churches were abandoned. Shortly after the Reformation, in 1572, Gotland was made into its own Diocese, and the church designated its cathedral.

There is not much left of the original interior. The font is made of local red marble in the 13th century. The pulpit was made in Lübeck in 1684. There are 400 graves under the church floor.
