Very beautiful castle located on a mountain, with the Bronner Cave underneath, the climb is very steep but the cave is really worth seeing. Signposted from the end of Buchheim

Beautiful castle, but it is a private house and cannot be entered. But it's a great photo opportunity on the Donauwelle hiking trail.

I don't understand a lot of the entries here...it IS privately owned AND inhabited by TENANTS, why should it be possible to just get in there? Do you let people into your home? It's like in a museum: look, don't touch!

It's impressive how this castle stands on the towering rocks. Great photo opportunity, I would be very interested to see what it looks like from the inside. Unfortunately it is closed as it is privately owned.

Nice castle. Worth a visit. There are many hiking and cycling trails in the area. Worth a visit. However, you cannot visit it.

Temple of Edfu

The Temple of Edfu is one of the best preserved ancient shrines in Egypt. It was built in the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 237 and 57 BC.

Edfu was one of several temples built during the Ptolemaic Kingdom, including the Dendera Temple complex, Esna, the Temple of Kom Ombo, and Philae. Its size reflects the relative prosperity of the time. The present temple initially consisted of a pillared hall, two transverse halls, and a barque sanctuary surrounded by chapels. The building was started during the reign of Ptolemy III Euergetes and completed in 57 BC under Ptolemy XII Auletes. It was built on the site of an earlier, smaller temple also dedicated to Horus, although the previous structure was oriented east–west rather than north–south as in the present site.
