Beautiful cathedral, the peace and tranquillity of which could have been enjoyed had it not been for a man using a vacuum cleaner around the altar. Why not clean when the cathedral is closed to the public? Interesting cathedral organ.

A wonderful free concert given last night at the cathedral and to see such fantastic local talent drawn from the university of Alicante. A magnificent venue for the works of Vivaldi, Mozart, Bach and Albinoni.

Well preserved (or recently restored?) Definitely more modern than expected. No fancy details. Rather basic from the outside. Doesn't stand out amongst the surrounding buildings.

Seems to have a lot to say about the past. This is an amazing building, a living history! Unfortunately, I visited the place on a Sunday afternoon, and it was closed. This huge building is surrounded by other buildings and it is easy to miss it. My experience from seeing it from the outside can be summed up in three words; simple, elegant and magnificent ?

The views are amazing! Definitely need to visit here if you are near by. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of up heel walking.
