Heritage day, very nice visit. Private and very well maintained castle. I recommend. Interior visit by reservation.

Charging an entry fee of €5 per person, on the weekend of heritage days, is an aberration when we know that the owners benefit from public funds to renovate their homes! These people should be reminded that public funds are not money falling from the sky but rather taxes paid by those who pay them! On top of that, 3 rooms to visit, a tower and a park with only trees, it's really making fun of the world. And the comment on the link with the Ukrainian ambassador was so poor that we felt embarrassed! At least live up to what you ask of visitors.

I love the environment and the ambience at the chateau. The park is incredible and the tour is very informative. I had the pleasure to bump into the owners at my entrance and it was an unforgettable moment to see the love and care they have for this magnificent chateau.

Clementinum

The Clementinum is a historic complex of buildings in Prague. Until recently the complex hosted the National, University and Technical libraries, the City Library also being located nearby on Mariánské Náměstí. The Technical library and the Municipal library have moved to the Prague National Technical Library at Technická 6 since 2009. It is currently in use as the National Library of the Czech Republic.

Its history dates from the existence of a chapel dedicated to Saint Clement in the 11th century. A Dominican monastery was founded in the medieval period, which was transformed in 1556 to a Jesuit college. In 1622 the Jesuits transferred the library of Charles University to the Klementinum, and the college was merged with the University in 1654. The Jesuits remained until 1773, when the Klementinum was established as an observatory, library, and university by the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria.
