40 years ago, this was a very interesting and historic place to visit. Now, it is a hostel and events venue. It has lost its character.

It was beautiful. I really enjoyed it. There were not many visitors. I think it deserves more publicity. The views are absolutely astonishing. The mountains seem to be so close. They only served some pastry and drinks, but it was still enjoyable. I can see how it's hard to be accessed in winter. There is a 200m climb to get there. Also, more orientation signs on the street wouldn't hurt.

They say that they have a via ferrata but it is closed. There is no staff most of the time, reception is open only 4 hours a day. The staff is not kind.

This castle shows off the history of the local area, being a short drive, and a must see, if your staying around steyr. When I went there it was closed but that didn't matter to me as it was still really cool to see a castle. There are also a few goats that Rome around the place which is pretty cool.

Nice castle, beautiful views. To really appreciate the picturesque views try going just before sunset. Just spectacular. Oh, and watch out for the goats, some are a bit short tempered.

Church of St Donatus

The Church of St Donatus name refers to Donatus of Zadar, who began construction on this church in the 9th century and ended it on the northeastern part of the Roman forum. It is the largest Pre-Romanesque building in Croatia.

The beginning of the building of the church was placed to the second half of the 8th century, and it is supposed to have been completed in the 9th century. The Zadar bishop and diplomat Donat (8th and 9th centuries) is credited with the building of the church. He led the representations of the Dalmatian cities to Constantinople and Charles the Great, which is why this church bears slight resemblance to Charlemagne's court chapels, especially the one in Aachen, and also to the Basilica of San Vitale in Ravenna. It belongs to the Pre-Romanesque architectural period.

The circular church, formerly domed, is 27 m high and is characterised by simplicity and technical primitivism.
